New Campus

In its strong desire to offer the best to its students, the College has embarked on a pioneering new project, the creation of a state-of-the-art College campus.

The new campus is located in Larnaka Road, immediately opposite the new campus of the University of Cyprus and includes its own grounds that stretch to an area of 22,000 square meters. It is made up of several buildings that have been specifically designed to create and support a contemporary learning environment of the highest standard and to provide its students with memorable experiences during their studies.

The first phase, includes the Teaching and Administration buildings, the "Philoxenia" Hall of Residence, car parking, open-air sports grounds, and landscaped areas. The second phase, which is under way, includes the construction of the Library Building.

The first phase buildings are self-contained in the sense that they include all the facilities and services necessary for the operation of a first class international College. As the construction program progresses these facilities will be expanded and further enhanced.

The new campus offers the following facilities and services:

Thirteen lecture rooms, fully air conditioned, mechanically ventilated, and connected with the Internet and the College network.

The library, (with over 10,000 items), is specialised with a very good collection of books, periodicals and audio visual aids on tourism, hospitality operations as well as Business, Management and Information Technology. The "Cyprus Tourism Documentation Center" is a specialized section of the library in Cyprus Tourism. Students and researchers can find information on Cyprus Tourism from past to present, as the library has been collecting all the publications. This information includes historical and cultural data, tourism statistics, and annual reports from different organizations, videotapes, and other useful materials. The Cyprus Documentation Center is updated on a regular basis. Library resources have been vastly expanded thanks to the connection of all the College computers to Searchbank Databases. The College library now has access to the Cyprus Library Network (CLN). The Cyprus Library Network is an on-line directory for all Cyprus Libraries. The interservice network will inform library users about the libraries, which contain the books, journals and on-line research services, they require. Moreover, the network lists the types of material each institution carries and provides information on the hours of service, contact numbers, and other aspects of the Cyprus Library Network.

The periodicals' database provides a listing of all weekly, monthly and quarterly publications for each of the Cyprus libraries. In this way, students and staff have direct access to the full text of 1,500 periodicals.

There are three computer labs, two of which are dedicated to teaching and to be used by students. The other one is exclusively used for learning foreign languages. Besides all software programs necessary for teaching the Information Technology modules, the labs are equipped with several software programs, proper to computer aided teaching of hospitality, tourism and business related courses.

The training kitchen is fully equipped and is used by our first year hospitality students to familiarize themselves with the food preparation and cooking process.
