AIRLINE CABIN ATTENDANT COURSE

For a bright future in the airline business, aspiring students of the College of Tourism can now qualify to become Cabin Crew staff. This new specialist course, which was launched in September 2001, is in direct response to a growing need for personnel in this particular industry sector. The College has used educational experts, who have a thorough knowledge of the requirements of airlines, to carefully construct this specialized Cabin Crew course.

The results were impressive: ALL those who attended the course last year, passed the final exams and possessed evidence of proficiency in English are now flying as cabin crew with one of the local airlines.

The aim is to train young people to be superior caliber personnel. As soon as they receive their qualifications they will become sought after and therefore immediately employable as cabin crew by local airlines. Importantly, the course curriculum followed is in line with the world renowned Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in the UK. Graduates will be specifically trained in the areas of safety effectiveness and awareness. Moreover, other fundamental objectives include gaining an in-depth knowledge of the particular qualities that a cabin crewmember should have, such as courtesy, discipline, appearance, deportment, initiative and pleasant personality. All these qualities enrich the service that a Cabin crewmember gives to customers and are absolutely necessary for achieving the highest in-flight service standards.
